# Technology & Settlement

USDC is used on ReFi Hub as a digital settlement medium, not as an investment asset.

It functions as a USD-denominated payment rail, enabling efficient cross-border settlement, clear accounting, and automated Yield distributions via smart contracts.

Smart contracts apply predefined distribution logic once funds are received. They do not generate revenue or alter contractual obligations.

The technology improves operational efficiency and transparency. Asset performance and counterparty execution remain the primary drivers of Token Holder outcomes.
